Take part in our FIRST Stop guest program

  • Check in at the FIRST Stop table in the Comcast Center Main Concourse
  • Take a tour with a student or adult FIRST ambassador, or view the event on your own
  • Look for the FIRST Stop signs throughout the venue to ask questions and get more information

Select as many activities as you have time for -- We have ambassadors ready to show you the way


First Stop - Invitation



Sideline Pass

Suggested time: 15 minutes for each activity

  Sit in Visitors' Row to get a close up look at the action and have an ambassador explain the game and who all the folks are working on the field.  (Must have an ambassador accompany your group.)
  Sit in the stands with a team, learn their cheer and have a team member explain the game.

FIRST People

Suggested time: 10 minutes for each activity

  Talk with a team -- 54 choices available!  Have a favorite?
  Learn about the volunteers at the Chesapeake Regional and why they are here.
  Learn about the mentors involved with FIRST teams and why they are here.

Learn about Scholarships for college -- $16 million worth, exclusively for FIRST team members!


The Technical Side

Suggested tine: 10 minutes for each activity

  Learn about passing inspections from the crew in the yellow hats and visit the NASA machine shop.
  Safety -- follow a green shirt safety advisor as they do their rounds.

FIRST Programs

  Learn about FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) -- our program for middle and high school students
  Learn about FIRST LEGO League (FLL) -- our program for 9-14 year olds
  Learn about Jr. FIRST LEGO League (Jr.FLL) -- our program for 6-9 year olds

Suggested time: as long as you like!

  Learn more about Maryland FIRST from local planning committee members/staff and ask one-on-one questions about forming teams, becoming a sponsor, mentoring and volunteering.
