    WYPR 88.1 FM Baltimore. April 13, 2009:
In the FIRST competition, high school teams from around the country and the world build robots that are designed to complete particular tasks ("FIRST", in case you were wondering, stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). The regional competitions happened over the last month, and this week 500 robots will compete at the final Championship--this year being held in Atlanta.
